The Outside Insurance Sales Representative will sell preneed insurance, products and services offered by the company to current and new clientele.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage sales leads that are generated through Company lead generation program.
- Maintain good relationship with at need staff at funeral home location and coordinate handover of leads from their referrals.
- Explains benefits of our products to potential and existing clients; guides clients in selecting coverage to best meet their needs.
- Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
- Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems utilizing company provided CRM.
- Set-up and coordinate speaking engagements. Needs to be comfortable and experienced with public speaking.
- Maintains print and electronic records and files as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of various insurance products and policies.
- Ability to determine best insurance policy for individual clients.
- Excellent interpersonal, sales, and customer service skills.
- Ability to identify and contact prospective clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Capable analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to function well in a team environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Knowledge of CRM and prior experience a plus.
- Driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Some travel is required.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Licensed to sell insurance in applicable state.
- 5 years of experience selling preneed preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation package:
- Monthly bonus
- Quarterly bonus
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
