The Outside Insurance Sales Representative will sell preneed insurance, products and services offered by the company to current and new clientele.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage sales leads that are generated through Company lead generation program.
  • Maintain good relationship with at need staff at funeral home location and coordinate handover of leads from their referrals.
  • Explains benefits of our products to potential and existing clients; guides clients in selecting coverage to best meet their needs.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
  • Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems utilizing company provided CRM.
  • Set-up and coordinate speaking engagements. Needs to be comfortable and experienced with public speaking.
  • Maintains print and electronic records and files as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of various insurance products and policies.
  • Ability to determine best insurance policy for individual clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal, sales, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to identify and contact prospective clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Capable analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function well in a team environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Knowledge of CRM and prior experience a plus.
  • Driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Some travel is required.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Licensed to sell insurance in applicable state.
  • 5 years of experience selling preneed preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation package:

  • Monthly bonus
  • Quarterly bonus

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

  • Driver's License (Preferred)
