Veterinary Assistant needed for a busy mixed animal practice in rural Kimmell, Indiana. We are adding a new doctor in June and are needing to add to our team!! We are looking for candidates preferably with experience, but willing to train the right person. Candidate must be self-motivated, professional, and a friendly individual to join our team. Must also be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment, problem solve independently, and pay close attention to detail. This position is for 36-40 hours/week. It does include working some Saturday mornings. Starting pay will be based on experience.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Phlebotomy, catheter placement, digital radiology, dentistry, laboratory work, pharmacy duties, anesthesia monitoring, patient recovery, care for hospitalized patients, medication administration, surgical prep, assisting, proper restraint techniques, client education, communication with veterinarian, staff, and clients.
