Position Summary:
Responsible for reliability, maintainability, and functionality of CountryMark’s automation and controls systems. This includes the development, implementation and troubleshooting of various control systems such as PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, SCADA, DTN/Guardian3, and other end devices used to monitor and control CountryMark’s pipeline system. Role will assist with design, implementation, and testing of control systems and have ownership of operational interfaces while being the subject matter expert and stakeholder for the Logistics Automation Strategy.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to the following):
* Ability to independently design, develop, in-house test, and commission a pipeline/terminal operations control system.
* Develop, implement, and maintain controls for all pipeline assets.
* Program SCADA products and support of control systems including but not limited to; Allen Bradley PLCs, FactoryTalk,, and WonderWare.
* Investigate, evaluate, analyze, and implement engineering solutions to solve operations and control system issues.
* Responsible for development of logic diagrams, cause & effect, control narratives and control systems.
* Consult with appropriate parties on proposed engineering activities and projects.
* Champion the Management of Change (MOC) process for Instrumentation and Control System changes.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to the following):
* Provide scope and execution plans for instrument and control systems.
* Ability to apply failure investigation methodology and problem-solving principles.
* Create and implement operational efficiencies using modern technology and advanced control schemes.
* Provide technical support to Management and Pipeline Operations and Maintenance teams.
* Coordinate with contract engineering and design firms developing pipeline projects.
* Comply with local, state, and federal requirements and industry standards to protect the public, employees, and the environment, while handling, storing, and transporting hazardous liquids.
* Provide technical and engineering support during State and Federal regulatory inspections.
* Assist in daily communication with internal/external clients involving request/questions.
Job Qualifications (refers to job, not incumbent):
Bachelor degree in Engineering, Electronics, Computer Programming or Industrial Controls is preferred.
5-10 years' experience in related field is required.
Preferred:
* Knowledge in DTN/Guardian 3 interface.
* AVEVA (Wonderware) experience with Intouch HMI and/or System Platform.
* Inductive Automation experience with Ignition.
* Advanced knowledge of basic P&ID diagrams, AutoCAD, and AutoCAD Electrical design.
*Relevant working experience with control methodology SCADA, PLC, and HMI platforms.
* Rockwell Automation experience with Studio 5000 and/or FactoryTalk.
