Job Description Summary:

First shift desk/customer service associates check in and out guests, assists guests and other employees, corresponds with housekeeping for check in and relays as guests check out. Answers phones, makes reservations, assists with Franchise programs and performs duties as assigned to assist at the front desk.

Job Tasks:

· Performs all duties of a front desk clerk/guest service agent.

· Balance all room charges and cash drawer.

· Checks guests in and out. Programs room keys,

· Checks and verifies the room status report and analyzes any discrepancies.

· Prepares credit card billings, by credit card, and accounts receivable.

· Accurately posts all charges to guest accounts (room, tax, telephone, valet, food, beverage, misc., etc.).

· Checks and verifies all credit cards have been approved with proper authorization.

· May do exterior property check and clean up.

· Maintain professional relationships when in contact with competitive hotels.

· Adhere to all Guests, Inc. official programs including but not limited to: call back, Meet & Beat, competitive call around, making popcorn, pet program, etc.

· Performs other duties as required or requested by management staff including attendance of hotel staff meetings and management company meetings.

Required Skills:

  • Equipment/Computer Expertise - Basic typing skills and ability to operate standard office equipment including: copier, FAX, multiple-line telephone system, etc. Must be experienced with and be able to effectively and efficiently use a computer and printer to handle room reservations, word processing, and database management (Microsoft Office programs and Excel).
  • Mathematical Skills - Basic knowledge of mathematical skills - (ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and correctly) - as necessary to perform the functions of the position.
  • Certificates/Licenses - Must obtain required franchise certifications within time frame allotted and must be willing to attend and participate in other training seminars, webinars, etc. as required by hotel, franchisor, and the management company.
  • Time Management – be able to manage one’s own time and schedule with very little supervision.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $13.50 per hour
