Country Day Schools of Tampa Bay (CDS) is currently seeking a full-time accounting associate to join our team.

As the leader in Montessori education for the Tampa Bay area, CDS encompasses six campuses in Pinellas and Hillsborough County. Our schools are distinguished by their accreditations, strong faculty and leading academic programs. This position would be based at our renowned World School campus in Largo Florida, close to Indian Rocks Beach, and will provide accounting support to all of our campuses.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Managing A/R including the support of families with tuition questions and related scholarship administration
• Managing A/P including the review of invoices and processing payments
• Daily bank and credit card reconciliation.
• Preparing and maintaining monthly reconciliations.
• General support of accounting and administrative operations including report generation, data entry, analysis and maintaining confidential information.

Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field.
• Three (3) years of experience in an accounting/bookkeeping role.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Proficiency in spreadsheet software such as Excel and Google Sheets.
• An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be substituted for the above requirements.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
