Position Summary:

To be responsible, under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Resident Manager, for maintaining all exterior areas of the property, including stairwells, sidewalks, dumpster areas, and parking lot, in a clean and litter-free condition.

Education/Skill Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proven ability to work with people, our main concern is meeting residents’ needs.
• Clean, neat professional appearance.
• Concern for work-safety program
• Means of reliable transportation to and from work in accordance with weekly schedule, as well as a clean DMV record for use of company vehicles and golf carts.
• Conduct business in accordance with the Federal Fair Housing Law (The Fair Housing Amendments Act of 1988).

Groundskeeper Level 1 – Entry Level up to 1 year experience in porter, grounds or facilities position.

Groundskeeper Level 2 – Over three years’ success and growth in Groundskeeper position

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Patrol of grounds each morning for removal of litter. Clean entryways and stairwells, remove leaves, debris, and cobwebs from corners and recesses of each building. Sweep and/or blow all sidewalks and parking areas, including dumpster areas. Conduct interior/exterior painting & cleaning, exterior repairs, pool and spa cleaning maintenance. Stock and maintain supply rooms and restrooms. Follow all health and safety regulations. Must learn and understand safe chemical handling and safety data sheets, ladder safety, safe machine use. Abide by all work safe practices. Ensure that the Company Mission Statement is carried out and maintained at all times.
