Position: Vice President, Commercial Loan Originator,

Location: Greenwich, CT (on-site 3/5 days a week)

Position Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Vice President, Commercial Loan Originator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in commercial loan origination for Bank, Insurance, or Wall Street lenders, or possess expertise in C-PACE financing. You will play a crucial role in identifying and securing opportunities for mortgage and C-PACE loans within the U.S. while contributing to our mission of climate change mitigation and adaptation.

Primary Duties :

• Identify and cultivate opportunities for mortgage and C-PACE loans from property owners, brokers, and mortgage bankers.
• Collaborate with Counterpointe's seasoned underwriting team to facilitate the successful closure of transactions.
• Focus on loan products such as 2-5 year bridge loans on transitional assets, with future expansion into permanent financing and limited construction lending.
• Evaluate and underwrite potential transactions based on market and asset-specific metrics.
• Present financing products to property owners and mortgage bankers, showcasing an in-depth understanding of the products and tailoring transactions to meet client goals.
• Maintain a strong understanding of real estate credit and identify sound investment opportunities.

Qualifications :

• Minimum of five years of experience in sourcing and closing commercial mortgage loans and/or C-PACE assessments for institutional investors.
• Ability to understand client goals and objectives, tailoring transactions to meet those goals.
• Solid understanding of real estate credit and the ability to identify good investment opportunities.
• Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of finance.
• Outgoing personality with strong presentation skills to effectively communicate financing products to property owners and mortgage bankers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic environment.
