### Duties:
- Conduct assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine the appropriate treatment plan for clients
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients dealing with addiction and substance abuse issues
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on client needs and goals
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy and applied behavior analysis
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as social workers and medical staff, to provide comprehensive care for clients
- Provide education and support to clients' families to help them understand addiction and recovery
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with legal and ethical standards
### Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
- Valid licensure or certification as an Addiction Counselor (LADC, CADC, etc.)
- Experience in mental health counseling or addiction counseling preferred
- Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation techniques and treatment planning
- Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, including psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy
- Understanding of medical terminology related to addiction and mental health disorders
- Ability to work effectively in a hospital or clinical setting
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with clients dealing with addiction issues
- Knowledge of PTSD care is a plus
