Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, LLP is Hiring a Litigation Paralegal Near Raleigh, NC

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani has an immediate opening for a litigation paralegal to work in its fast paced and welcoming Raleigh office. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of three years of experience. This position requires excellent computer and document organization skills, a working knowledge/experience with Word, Outlook and a familiarity with iManage or other document management systems. iTimekeep and/or other timekeeping software proficiency is preferred and experience with e-discovery is a plus. This is a full-time position, which may have flexible options for a hybrid schedule.

Candidate should have strong organizational and communication skills, pay high attention to detail, be self-motivated, with the ability to multitask and be able to prioritize work for multiple attorneys.

Responsibilities include:

Organize records, documents, correspondence, and files into a manageable format.

Prepare medical record chronologies.

Analysis and review of case documents in order to assist in deposition and trial preparation.

Contact clients, witnesses, experts, third parties, and opposing counsel to obtain information pertinent to the case matter.

Assist attorneys in research, drafting pleadings, subpoenas for records, disclosures, interrogatories, discovery requests, motions while under supervision.

Work closely with legal assistants to schedule and calendar for attorney depositions and activities related to depositions (i.e. court reporter, witnesses, opposing counsel).

Track all requests made for documents and records, follow up on status of requests, and verify receipt of documents and records.

Record all billable and non-billable time spent on case files and client matters.

Follow the ethical requirements as set forth by the North Carolina Rules of Professional Conduct.

A Paralegal certificate or degree is required.
