Digital Media Coordinator

Reports To: Director of Community Engagement

Classification: Full Time – Non-Exempt

Job Summary:

The Digital Media Coordinator is a critical member of the Advancement team. They are responsible for designing and creating the digital aspect and helping with the implementation of both internal and external communication strategies. Their duties include managing external communication channels such as social media platforms, company websites and media relations, videography, writing copy for company newsletters or memos and adhering to a company’s brand by publishing content and marketing materials.

Key objectives for success:

  • Strategically working to increase brand awareness
  • Crafting engaging social media posts, articles, and videos that highlight the latest stories of the organization.
  • Collaborating with our in-house marketing team to deliver authentic, and informative content that reflects our brand and furthers our Mission.
  • Manages our social media platforms, interacting with followers, and responding to comments and messages.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other teams to identify the public voice of the brand and maintain brand integrity across all platforms.
  • Adhering to style guides and brand voice outlines for all CCO.
  • Create media kits / resources for public distribution.
  • Perform communications research and monitor the progress of various communications strategies.
  • Collaborate within the Advancement Team to create a multi-channel communications strategy to increase engagement and further awareness of CCO’s work throughout the area.
  • Creating comprehensive social media campaigns to promote brand awareness.
  • Coordinating social marketing efforts with other marketing and media teams.
  • Executing content strategies on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Tik Tok and other developing social media platforms.
  • Staying up to date with the latest technology and identifying opportunities to enhance our online presence.
  • Performs all other related duties and tasks assigned by the Director of Community Engagement.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Preferred degree in Marketing, Videography, or related fields.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Creative, innovative, self-motivator, and strategic thinker.
  • Efficiently manages time to handle multiple tasks, schedule posts, and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, including writing, speaking and active listening.
  • Must be results-driven and highly organized.
  • Must be proficient in utilizing computer applications, especially Adobe Creative Suites as well as Canva.
  • In-depth knowledge of the best writing, video, and messaging practices for business correspondence, public relations, advertising, marketing and sales copy and social media.
  • Ability to effectively engage with team members of all levels and across departments.
  • Analyze data, identify trends and Algorithms, and make informed decisions for social media strategy improvements to optimize content reach and engagement.
