Council for Professional Recognition is Hiring a Remote Data Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

This role will use technical expertise to collect and analyze raw data across the business to make informed decisions designed to assist others in meeting business objectives. This role will collect, clean, and analyze data and create tools and data models to aid in the visualization and monitoring of data.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as architect of automatic (API-driven) connections/feeds from Council software and tools to the data visualization system(s).
  • Work with programmers, engineers, and management to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies.
  • Manage the Council’s data governance to ensure data compliance, maintain access controls across staff, and understand and apply data security considerations.
  • Analyze raw data across the business to make informed decisions designed to assist others in meeting business objectives.
  • Prepare final analysis reports for stakeholders to understand the data-related steps leading to making important business decisions.
  • Fulfill data requests from Council staff and translate data to help users utilize information; grow the Council’s data literacy.
  • Develop and maintain databases.
  • Develop and execute a suite of standard dashboards and reports to capture various elements of Council performance.
  • Monitor data systems and datasets for quality and clean data to ensure a smooth flow between systems.
  • Complete ad-hoc data projects such as survey analysis and research projects.
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting multiple data projects and or one large project
  • Significant experience with data visualization tools (e.g.,Microsoft Dynamics, Tableau, PowerBI, Microsoft Power Query)
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Significant experience with common programming language(s), e.g., SQL
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data governance principles and best practices

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent work experience

Required to move, raise, reach, and/or retrieve binders, books, boxes, and files up to ten (10) pounds (lbs.). Sporadically, could be responsible for moving, raising, reaching, and/or retrieving binders, boxes, cases, and/or files weighing as much as 25 lbs. (Assistance may not always be available.)
