Cottonwood Financial is Hiring a Marketing Manager Near Irving, TX

Job Description

Reporting to our Director of Marketing Analytics, you will lead the strategy, testing, and optimization of various direct response marketing campaigns to increase lead volume, improve conversion rate, and grow incremental new customers, while providing the best customer experience. This is a great opportunity for a talented person to broaden his/her skill set by driving strategy for a multi-million-dollar marketing budget, managing vendors, presenting performance reporting to senior management, and challenging him/herself with projects that can span from tactical to strategic in nature. You will also have the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule, working remotely from your home office in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and on-site at our Administrative Office (HQ) in Irving (Las Colinas), TX.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Direct strategy for multiple media channels, creating cohesive campaigns across various outlets, and focusing on customer acquisition and retention 
  • Monitor and analyze channel performance, implementing optimizations and a/b/n testing when opportunities arise
  • Proactively seek innovative, new media solutions to test, presenting business cases for those opportunities to senior management
  • Oversee and collaborate with outside vendors and agencies to achieve superior results
  • Manage/contribute to the content and creative needed for campaigns as necessary 
  • Provide valuable input for overarching marketing strategy on multiple media channels, creating cohesive campaigns across various outlets and focusing on customer acquisition and retention 
  • Work closely with the Marketing Analytics and Risk teams to develop and consistently produce reports that add insight to the performance data, for both ongoing campaigns and ad hoc projects 
  • Stay on the forefront of direct response marketing news and trends, driving strategy and advising on best practices

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or similar field 
  • 4 years of work experience in marketing and/or advertising
  • In-depth understanding of marketing best practices 
  • Proven track record of exceptional growth through both traditional and digital marketing channels 
  • Experience directing and implementing local SEO tactics
  • Results-oriented self-starter who is confident in defending his/her critical thinking abilities 
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task 
  • Team-player with the ability to work autonomously 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset supported by a strong business acumen and work ethic 
  • Outstanding organizational skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills 
  • Advanced user of Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Business Pages, Microsoft (Previously Bing) Ads, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
  • Experience managing vendors or agency experience 
  • Local (Dallas/Fort Worth area) candidates only – no relocation 
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and not require sponsorship in the future 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with website content management system 
  • Experience with a CRM 
  • Writing and/or design experience a plus 
  • Consumer financial services or FinTech experience is a major plus 

Compensation

  • Starting annual salary of $135,000 

Workplace 

  • Flexibility of a hybrid work schedule, working remotely from your home office in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and on-site at our Administrative Office (HQ) in Irving (Las Colinas), TX

  • Hybrid schedule begins after first 60 days of employment/training
