Data & Analytics - Engagement Manager
Sikich is looking for a highly motivated professional to deliver and support client engagement activities. The Engagement Manager is a billable role. They work with engagement leads from one or more engagements, oversee teams of consultants of varying skill and experience levels, and generally ensure strong "engaging" relationships with clients. Engagement Managers ensure high-quality deliverables, client satisfaction, and long-term relationships for the Data, Analytics & AI practice.
Successful candidates will have five (5) years or more experience working with large Fortune 1000 clients, managing large cross-functional projects and programs, developing operational and strategic plans, road mapping, cloud migrations, and digital transformations, as well as providing guidance in the selection of vendors, tools, and technologies to support all aspects of Data, Analytics, and AI. Experience with Generative AI, as well as Predictive and Descriptive Analytics, is also highly desired.

What will you do in this role?
  • Participate in the management of client engagements and related activities, ensuring alignment with strategic, operational, and client objectives.
  • Collaborate with customers to prepare & manage objectives, scope, project plans, timelines, budgets, & resource plans.
  • Participate in operational review meetings with customers to translate business needs into functional requirements & business scenarios.
  • Facilitate periodic status meetings with clients & prepare periodic status reports.
  • Identify and document engagement risks and manage risk mitigation plans in close collaboration with clients and project teams.
  • Identify and resolve customer issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze requirements, ensuring clarity and alignment with project goals.
  • Collaborate with team members to create and negotiate Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Develop, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Create and document process maps, SOPs, methodologies, training, and other materials to support all aspects of client engagements.
  • Participate in change management, communication, and organizational implementation initiatives for clients, facilitating smooth transitions and continuous improvement.
  • Engage in business development activities, identifying new opportunities for growth and helping shape and implement targeted programs.
  • Conduct market and quantitative research to inform decision-making, uncover opportunities, and improve operations, processes, and workforce effectiveness.
  • Create sales, training, and client collateral such as sales decks, sell sheets, status reports, executive readouts, etc...
  • Stayup-to-dateon industry and job-related trends and best practices, including reading relevant publications, articles, blogs, etc.
What do you need to succeed in this role?
  • 3-5 years of practical experience as a management consultant
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large cross-functional multi-team projects.
  • Critical thinking, assessment, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Strong presentation, documentation, and collaboration skills and experience
  • Highly organized and able to create organizational processes
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and ensure timely completion of work.
  • Client-focused mindset and ability to build strong relationships.
  • Expertise in business analysis and strategic planning.
  • Practical experience with contemporary organizational and operational paradigms and methodologies (e.g., distributed workforce, cloud-enabled architectures).
  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to conduct quantitative research and market analysis.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
  • Experience with Data, Analytics, and AI capabilities such as Data Governance, Sensitive Data Management, Data Cataloging (Metadata management), lineage, taxonomies, stewardship, and cybersecurity.
  • Hands-on experience analyzing and visualizing data and data concepts.
  • Practical experience with contemporary Information Management paradigms, technologies, and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud migration, data warehouse/lake/mart implementations, ETL/ELT development, Power BI, and other data management technologies
