Cotton Electric Cooperative is Hiring a Dispatcher Near Walters, OK
An upcoming retirement has created a career opportunity for a Dispatcher. The shift for this position will be Tuesday - Saturday, 4p - 12a. Days off are Sunday and Monday.
Typical duties include:
- Ensures public safety at all times by advising members of potential electrical dangers, recommends proper action and advises members with any problems.
- Ensures safe working conditions by dispatching accurate and timely information to field crews and line personnel.
- Ensures the efficiency and accuracy of dispatch office by entering correct information in outage management system (OMS), member service software, and other reports as required.
- Has the ability to perform switching rules and procedures.
Applicant must have a valid driver license. Requires demonstrated abilities and skills operating a personal computer using Microsoft Windows and Office Suite, applications to include Outlook, Excel, and Word. Basic knowledge of electricity is preferred. This position is classified as safety sensitive in compliance with the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act and the Cooperative Policy 306A: Controlled Substances and Alcohol Use and Testing.
