Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Lead Cashier to join our team. As a Lead Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling cash transactions, and assisting with the overall operations of the store. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
Basic Overall Operations
Cleaning/Washing: Windows, Counters, Walls, Floors, Appliances, Stainless Steel, Tile, 3-Comp Sink, Mop Closet, Walk-In Cooler, Racks/Shelving, Small-wares, Utensils, Cambro Containers, Cutlery, etc.
Prep: Slicing American Cheese, Peeling/Cutting/Slicing Onions, Sauces, Filling Ketchup/Mustard Bottles, Pickles, Rolling Fresh Beef Burgers, etc.
Cooking: Fresh Beef Burgers on Flat-top Griddle, Frying French Fries and Onion Rings, Steaming Burger Buns, Crispy Bacon Strips, etc.
Packaging: wax wrapping burgers, scooping fries and onions rings, filling & lidding milkshake cups, etc.
Beverages: fresh brewing coffee then adding cream or sugar as desired, hand-spinning farm fresh dairy milkshakes adding desired syrups, handing out 20 oz bottles of Pepsico flavors, etc.
Service: Answering phone calls & taking orders, drive-thru digital pickups, walk-in customers, working with vendors, expediting, etc.
Pay Structure: Team Members start on a trial basis at the base hourly pay level listed without tip-share. After the training period (typically 2 weeks), the team member is then eligible for tip-share.
Duties:
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Process cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise
- Perform opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and register reconciliation
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a timely manner
- Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and promotions to effectively sell merchandise
- Collaborate with team members
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar role preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent phone etiquette
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using technology, such as cash registers and point-of-sale systems
- Fluency in multiple languages is beneficial
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
