Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and responsible individual to join our team as a Delivery Driver. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods to our customers. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to handle heavy lifting, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload items from the vehicle in a careful and organized manner
- Follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure on-time deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service by delivering items with professionalism and courtesy
- Communicate effectively with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking oil levels, tire pressure, and fuel levels
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and signatures
Qualifications:
- Valid Class B driver's license
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical demands of the job
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Familiarity with route planning and navigation tools
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations is a plus
- Ability to operate forklifts or other equipment is an advantage
