- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Verify patient insurance coverage and collect necessary information
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Assist with medical scheduling and ensure efficient patient flow
- Handle billing and payment processing accurately
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure smooth operations
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry
```Skills```
- Experience working as a medical receptionist or in a dental/medical office setting
- Proficiency in using dental/medical software such as Dentrix, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Familiarity with administrative duties in a healthcare environment
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, especially in emergency situations
