Cosm operators drive our groundbreaking immersive display technology, creating incredible experiences for our guests.Responsibilities:Ensure venue presentation systems are in a constant state of readinessMaintain comprehensive systems knowledge to support normal operations, special events, and demonstrationsMonitor venue schedule and proactively coordinate with stakeholdersActivate and monitor live event sequences and transitionsTrack live event content and adjust venue activities according to established runbooksCoordinate with venue ops team to initiate program blocks, transitionsEssential Systems MaintenanceLog and track issues across all presentation systemsLED module removal and replacementMonitor and maintain a variety of theatrical effects, including fog machines and DMX lightingDemo and Special Event supportCoordinate with in-house and external teams to enable the best possible guest experienceProgram lighting and sound cuesDevelop custom presentations and events contentLoad, test, and verify special event contentSupport venue guest experiences, and work with venue team members to help setup and teardown, as neededExperience:High proficiency working with Windows OS and Windows PC technologyGeneral understanding of audio/visual signal flows and diagramsExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsMust be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and organizedYou can work independently and as part of a team, remaining calm under pressureBackground in Astronomy and/or related sciences is a plusTheatrical or other live performance experience is a plusExperience in Audio, Lighting, Broadcast, IT, and/or streaming IP video workflows is a plusMust be able to lift up to 60lbsMust be able to safely climb structures and work, briefly, in elevated positionsMust be able to work during live events, with high noise levels, and busy environmentsThis is a shift-based, on-site role, and will require evening/weekend/holiday workOn-the-job operational, maintenance, and safety training will be providedThe annualized base salary range for this position in California is $65,000-$70,000. The base salary offered will factor in internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant experience, among other factors.
