Position Summary

Provides cash management support by daily review and projection of cash activity and provides financial reporting support by maintaining and reconciling accounting records.

Primary Position Responsibilities

• Updates cash projections with daily and anticipated future activity.
• Initiates cash investments and borrowings.
• Updates finance dashboard daily.
• Performs various banking responsibilities.
• Assists with monthly accounting for affiliated and subsidiary companies, including making journal entries, tracking expenses, and reconciling accounts.
• Assists with charitable foundation reporting.
• Assists with monthly and annual consolidations and financial statement preparation, including the annual audit.
• Assists with unclaimed property reporting.

• Complies with established CoServ safety and operating rules, procedures and guidelines including reporting unsafe practices to a supervisor.
• Complies with established CoServ Information Security Handbook, policies, procedures, and guidelines including reporting suspected information security incidents to Client Services.

Secondary Position Responsibilities

• Assists in testing new functionality of accounting software.

• Assists with the annual capital credit processes.
• Assists with loan compliance.

• Receives training as directed by the Treasury Services Staff.
• Attends CoServ University training as required.
• Performs other duties and activities as directed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• None.

Position Requirements

Experience, Education and Certifications Required

• BBA with a major in Accounting
• Five years of accounting experience

Experience, Education and Certifications Preferred

• Certified Public Accounting certification
• MBA degree in Accounting

• Previous finance/banking experience

Skills and Abilities Required

• Must be able to read and understand loan documents and calculate compliance ratios.
• Knowledge of PC software and spreadsheet applications.
• Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form.
• Must be dependable, detail oriented, and a team player.
• Must understand the confidentiality required in this position.

Skills and Abilities Preferred

• Knowledge of NISC iVue software.

Physical Requirements

• Indoor, office environment.

• Operates office equipment such as a computer, telephone, copier, etc.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 15 pounds.
• Ability to drive occasionally as needed.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
• Requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
• Works extended hours as needed.

Other Requirements

• Must have and maintain a valid Texas driver's license.
