Job Description:
COSCO SHIPPING LINES (North America) Inc. is seeking an Accounts Receivable Coordinator in Secaucus, NJ. Specific responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
- Freight cashier functions including freight releases, cash applications, deposits.
- Billing, creation of third party invoices upon receipt of payment and notification to import department for terminal release if necessary.
- Responsible for income bank payments including releasing cargo as requested.
- Wire transfer/ACA applications and SAP report.
- Refund preparations
- Checks and deposits.
- Collections credit and non-credit accounts including special requirements
- Assist with inbound cargo releases (OBL’s/Checks)
- Handle Outbound Cashier functions including releasing documents via overnight mail or messenger service.
- Monitor incoming payments noncredit accounts and informs documentation service to issue Telex Release.
- Collections noncredit accounts
- Additional accounts receivable functions including collections and special projects assigned by supervisors and managers.
Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge of accounting principles
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience in ocean transportation is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
