The Colorado Springs Branch office of Cosco Fire Protection has a challenging and growth oriented opportunity for the right individual. We are looking for a motivated team player willing to learn the Fire Sprinkler Fitter Trade as an Apprentice member of the UA Local Union 669. If this sounds like you, please read on and come be a part of what we are building in Colorado Springs!Job Responsibilities:- Learn to install, repair, and maintain all types of fixed fire extinguishing systems (e.g. fire sprinkler, fire suppression).
- Learn to install and service a variety of other fire protection equipment such as standpipes, fire pumps, foam systems, clean agent systems, and underground fire supply piping.
- Conduct work in a safe manner utilizing all required PPE, safe work practices, etc.
- Travel within the states of Colorado and Wyoming to work job sites as necessary. Work may include off hours/shift/weekend work as required.
- Must be willing to become/be a member of the UA Local 669 Union.
- At least 18 years old.
- High school diploma OR GED required.
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- No experience is required.
- Previous construction experience is a plus.
- Mechanical background/aptitude is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans is a plus
- Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds. Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment, including outdoors, in hot/cold weather, etc.
