This is a dual role working for the Lab Director - Point of Care Coordinator and Lab Assistant. Reliable Monday-Friday Schedule.
POCC Duties:
- Assists in development, implementation, evaluation and coordination of all point-of-care testing performed by non-laboratory and laboratory staff
- Conduct training for point of care lab testing for hospital staff, clinic staff, and lab staff.
- Competency tracking of all staff for all waived testing
- Maintains and monitoring those performing the testing and its quality of reporting.
- Maintain the analyzers for processing the POC testing. (calling service, maintenance if needed, technical investigation, lining up repair/replacements, etc)
Lab Assistant Duties:
- Help Track quality measures and report clinical data to meet regulatory requirements (IP, State, Monthly logs)
- Help with tracking competency records for lab staff
- Help organize procedures and logs for CAP and prepare for inspections
- Help with tracking of charges and manual entry of charges where needed
- Help with processing samples in the lab when needed
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Tech or Clinical Laboratory Science
- 1-3 years of point of care coordination experience; OR 5 years MLT experience ready to take the next step
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with EHR and strong computer skills
- Exceptional organization and multi-tasking abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong data analysis skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
