Corvallis Clinic Surgery Center is Hiring a RN - Circulating - Part Time 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Near Corvallis, OR
Summary:
The RN Circulating performs nursing functions according to the nursing process and as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing. Provides safe, quality surgical assisting and patient care through the utilization of appropriate treatment processes and effective communication with all involved in the care and support of the patients. Multi-tasks and fills in where needed in other roles including scrub and instrument care, etc.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Will participate and maintain a culture within The Corvallis Clinic that is consistent with the content outlined in the Service and Behavioral Standards Handbook. To this end, employee will be expected to read, have familiarity, and embrace the principles contained within.
- Provide nursing care according to the sequential steps of the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation.
- Direct patient flow and assist with patient care before, during and after surgical procedures.
- Assist anesthesia staff as needed.
- Improve the quality of care through continuing education and self-evaluation of the effectiveness of care. This includes attendance/participation in most in-services/department meetings and remaining current on clinic/department policies and procedures.
- Participate in the orientation and training of new employees.
- Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing
- Current unencumbered State of Oregon license as a Registered Nurse
- Operating room experience with CNOR certification
- One (1) or more years of experience in an acute care hospital, office or clinic
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to manage emergency situations in a calm and confident manner
- Knowledge of basic clinical skills to provide patient care
- Flexibility to handle changing tasks and responsibilities
- Demonstrated flexibility and leadership with unscheduled procedure changes
- Ability to work well with providers and other staff
- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy, fast-paced environment while maintaining quality of work
