About The Job: Corus & IMA is seeking a highly motivated individuals for a Project Director position for the USAID Global Health Social and Behavior Change (SBC) Follow-on Activity. This activity seeks to improve health and development outcomes through increased implementation of theory-informed, evidence-based, locally led social and behavior change programming and evidence generation across health and development areas.

The Project Director will be responsible for the overall design, implementation, and monitoring of this project and will supervise all project activities. They will support the project's vision and strategy, directing the project technical team, and managing critical relationships with national and global partners and other key stakeholders. They will ensure high quality of overall performance and compliance with the project, supporting the facilitation across geographic scopes.

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee overall leadership and strategic vision for the project. This includes overall responsibility for assuring that all technical assistance and services provided are technically rigorous, in line with USAID rules and regulations, and appropriate for addressing the objectives of the Activity.
  • Directs and monitors implementation of activities within the approved work plan and budget, ensuring that activities are performed to a high professional standard, effectively implemented, and fulfill donor and the organization's requirements.
  • Oversees overall project strategy and work plan implementation and achievement of project results.
  • Ensures the timely and complete submission of all performance reports and responses to donor requests for performance, success stories, and financial information for the project.
  • Coordinate with staff and donor implementing partners on common objectives and activities, as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with all donor, organizational, relevant country -specific policies.
  • Provides direction on senior-level policy and technical dialogue with donors, Ministries of Health, and other government ministries and units, working with in-country staff as appropriate.
  • Maintains a strong and wide network with key partners and stakeholders in the SBC arena and ensures that the project is represented by appropriate steering and advisory groups.

Qualifications:

  • Master's level education/training or its equivalent in Public Health, Social Sciences, Behavioral Sciences, Economics, International Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience with projects management principles and practices (including 10 years of strategic leadership and/or line management experience in international health and development and/or SBC).
  • At least 5 years of Chief of Party, or Project Director experience on large flagship USAID funded SBC or similar sector projects.
  • Experience working in partnership with U.S. Government agencies, international donors, or other multilateral agencies. Demonstrated experience in advocacy and within SBC projects.
  • Proficient with applicable rules, regulations, and policies associated with international development and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
  • Extensive experience in managing multi-country programs to utilize SBC evidence generation and SBC programming.
  • Proven ability to represent the Project and Corus at external events and international fora.
  • Fluency in English with strong oral and written communication.
  • French fluency is a plus.
