Monday through Friday, 8a-4:30p If they have their own steel toe boots we recommend bringing them, but we will provide steel toe shoe covers if they do not.
Position Summary: We have an opening for a Warehouse General Laborer. Job Responsibilities: Safely and efficiently work with loaders and unloaders to position product where needed Perform various warehouse duties Stage orders to outbound shipments Periodically operate a forklift Housekeeping duties Assist with damage control Organize pallets Report all injuries, illnesses, near misses, damage or other issues timely Job Requirements: Actively participate in all Client required Safety, Environmental, and Quality Assurance programs Reading and writing skills sufficient to comprehend/complete a variety of documents Safely operate forklift to arrange product within the warehouse Pulling orders per customer requests, including palletizing bags and preparing the pallet for shipment. Must be done in such a way as to reduce the chance of damage in transit Accurately fill orders and document lot numbers for each bag and each product. Shrink wrap and stage orders for shipment Ability to work in a flexible schedule; must allow for changes in assignments, and priorities depending upon identified needs of the operations Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team Assist in maintaining the housekeeping program (cleaning), including required written documentation Filtering face piece respirator may be required for certain tasks Assist in efficient warehousing and organization of products. Attempt to keep products clear of dust, debris, and safe stacking of pallets is required. Assist in light maintenance which may include using ladders, hand tools, and power tools. Promote the Client Way and core Values Must have a demonstrated history of safe work behavior and a sincere desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and procedures Ability to work extended hours, evenings, weekends and Holidays Physical Requirements: Standing for prolonged periods of time Must be able to lift and carry up to 55 lbs Must be able to repetitively lift 50 pound bags when pulling orders or working damage control.
