Corrigan Oil is Hiring a Purchasing Coordinator-Equipment Rental/Parts Near Brighton, MI
Position Overview:The primary function of the Purchasing Coordinator will be to manage the equipment rental needs of the organization from opportunity quoting through rental contract completion. In addition, the Purchasing Coordinator will support ongoing replenishment and inventory control operations within the parts warehouses including tanks, cages, monitors, components, etc. This position will perform vendor selection and vendor performance reviews as necessary to ensure best in class performance. The ideal candidate will be customer service driven, have impeccable communication skills, and the ability to coordinate the flow of information amongst and through multiple parties. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Purchasing Director Essential Job Functions:
Manage inventory control systems and maintain acceptable inventory levels
Lead and train the warehouse associate team members in all processes and controls to maintain inventory accuracy
Oversee and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency
Deliver weekly inventory status update reports to department manager
Oversee and perform cycle counts and full inventory audits
Rectify miscalculations
Assist technicians in maintaining rolling stocks
Report findings and make recommendations for improvement to management
Prepare parts for upcoming jobs
Prepare orders for next day
Work closely with Purchasing department
Demonstrate professionalism; be courteous and friendly to customers and co-workers at all times
Follows company quality, safety and environmental guidelines as well as employee handbook policies
Regular and reliable attendance and presence at work
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to effectively perform responsibilities under a high level of stress
Operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications / Experience / Education:
At least 3 years previous experience in equipment rental field, purchasing or inventory control
Solid working knowledge of an ERP and basic inventory control processes
ISO process understanding and demonstrated ability to follow documented work instructions
