HVAC Installer

Job Overview:

The primary function of the HVAC / Refrigeration Installer is to install HVAC-R equipment in addition to routine preventative maintenance at company owned and external customer sites

Essential Job Functions:

• Adequate knowledge of installation procedures relating to ductwork, low-voltage controls and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/wiring schematics
• Good communitive skills and coordination with authority, other contractors and clients
• Compose RFI’s, As Built and Change Order documentation if/when needed
• Assess then quote HVAC-R related work when required
• Commercial and/or residential ductwork and equipment
• Apply local HVAC codes in a practical manner on each work task
• Knowledge of routine carpentry, electrical and plumbing
• Enforce and apply pertaining work is being done in compliance with company protocol
• Detailed safety and incident reports and applying those procedures as required
• Read and interpret safety/employment manuals and other work-related documents
• Work extended hours when required for scheduling and/or job completion
• Work in varying weather conditions when required
• Follow written and verbal instructions
• Follow company quality, safety and environmental guidelines as well as employee handbook policies
• Good interpersonal and leadership skills
• Able to handle high stress situations and make quick decisions if needed
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Able to lift 80 pounds of necessary equipment; Able to push and pull 75 pounds. Ability to climb a ladder
• Handle exposure to dust, fumes, heights and high noise levels
• Operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner with consideration to others on-site
• Perform duties as assigned to fulfilment and complete work relating data on company WO software
• Willing to attend classes relating to HVAC-R for certifications
• Availability to be on-call 24/7 depending on hiring position

Qualifications/Experience/Education:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Minimum of 3 years field experience installing HVAC-R for residential or commercial
• Possession of typical HVAC-R hand tools and drills required for installing
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and 7-year background check
