About the Role

Corrado Properties is looking for a part-time IT Support Specialist to be based in our corporate office in Palm Beach, Florida. This person will support our team members in a variety of tasks. The IT Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring that computer systems are running smoothly and that users get the most out of them. They may provide support in person, over the phone, or via remote desktop software.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and update hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners as required to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks to identify and resolve issues promptly, ensuring continuous operation and security.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for system and network problems, diagnosing and resolving hardware or software issues efficiently.
  • Execute systems and network tasks, including design, documentation, implementation, testing, and administration.
  • Analyze staff needs to identify vulnerabilities and opportunities for improving efficiency and accuracy in IT operations.
  • Provide training to employees on the use of software and hardware, facilitating smooth adoption and maximizing productivity.
  • Respond promptly to service issues and requests, delivering effective solutions and maintaining high levels of user satisfaction.
  • Set up accounts for new users, ensuring appropriate access levels and permissions in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Support the implementation of new applications as necessary, ensuring seamless integration and functionality within existing systems.
  • Test and evaluate new technology solutions to assess their suitability and potential benefits for the organization.
  • Maintain equipment asset log for the company.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Proficient in a wide range of commonly used software, hardware, and applications, including Windows and Mac OS, with the ability to adapt to new technologies quickly.
  • Strong oral communication skills to efficiently gather information from employees and explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear language.
  • Demonstrated written communication skills to create useful support logs.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities to systematically troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues.
  • Exceptional time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively and deliver updates and fixes within promised timeframes.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently, handling multiple support requests simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Keen observational skills to proactively identify warning signs of potential technical problems and take preventive measures.
  • Outstanding customer service orientation, with the ability to interact professionally and positively with employees and colleagues.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
