Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate trust and collaboration with clients.
  • Conduct comprehensive gap analyses to enhance safety programs.
  • Interpret and implement clients' Health and Safety Programs efficiently.
  • Design and deliver Safety Orientations and Training sessions.
  • Investigate incidents thoroughly, pinpointing root causes and proposing corrective measures.
  • Perform risk assessments and deliver tailored training to mitigate workplace hazards.
  • Execute meticulous audits, identifying and communicating safety hazards effectively.
  • Deliver engaging safety presentations to employees and management.
  • Develop customized Health and Safety Programs and emergency action plans.
  • Review and document accident reports, conducting facility inspections.
  • Conduct personal and atmospheric air sampling.
  • Craft detailed pre-job Job Hazard Assessments.
  • Oversee the installation of safety devices and protective equipment.
  • Foster client relationships and explore new business avenues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of field safety experience, preferably in heavy industrial or petrochemical facilities.
  • Willingness to travel and work extended hours for special projects, including weekends.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in public speaking.
  • Familiarity with basic computer programs like Microsoft Office.
  • Certifications such as CSP, CHST, OSHA 500 are advantageous.
  • Basic Orientation Plus certification is a plus.
  • Possession of a current TWIC card is preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • The demands of this role include:
  • Regular walking, including on uneven terrain.
  • Occasional climbing of stairs and ladders.
  • Extended periods of standing.
