Corps Team Services is Hiring a Railcar and Dock Operator Near Corpus Christi, TX

Objective:

The Railcar and Dock Operator will load and unload rail cars in a professional and safe manner in accordance with all applicable policies and procedures. Operators are required to work a 12-hour shift, rotating day and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for safe and efficient loading and unloading of railcars.
  • Check rail cars to be loaded to ensure that they are clean and ready to be loaded.
  • Visually inspects the railcar before, during, and after transfer to ensure that is mechanically sound.
  • Check loading specifications for any special instructions.
  • Spot, connect, disconnect tanker trucks or rail cars for loading or unloading cargos.
  • Maintain a record of all loading activities and ensure that product meets quality standards.
  • Complete daily loader pre/post inspection forms in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain yourself in a professional manner while working at the facility.
  • Operate crane and lifts to deliver cargo to barge and vessel Tankerman.
  • Perform other duties at the customer facility as required.

Required Job Skills:

  • Ability to climb gangways for boarding vessels.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and operate complex operations.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, accurate, self-motivated and multi-task oriented.
  • The ability to understand and follow safety procedures, and execute site-specific job procedures and, subject to completion of the required training necessary.
  • The ability to understand the obligation that you must stop operations if an unsafe act is being performed.

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
  • TWIC card
  • Appropriate motor vehicle record with no more than three minor moving violations; no drug-or alcohol related offenses; and no serious/major moving violations.
