The Corporation for Ohio Appalachian Development (COAD) is a 50-year-old nonprofit organization that provides direct services to Ohio’s Appalachian counties in Early Care and Education, AmeriCorps Seniors, Weatherization and Energy Efficiency, and serves the state of Ohio in its accredited Weatherization Training Center. We are currently seeking a talented individual who is passionate about “making a difference” in their community to join our growing team. 

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Recruitment Coordinator to join our team. As our Recruitment Coordinator you will be responsible for our region-wide recruitment efforts to increase volunteer numbers and related site stations for their service. Additionally, this position will work with COAD’s Strategic Communication team to share information with seniors about our Senior Division (SD) and other information relating to senior wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead recruitment efforts for volunteers and volunteer stations

· Work with SD staff and our Strategic Communications Coordinator to communicate information to seniors and partner organizations across the region

· Work collaboratively with program staff to identify needs related to public relations, outreach, and implement a plan to achieve desired goals

· Proof and edit program communication materials.

Requirements

Key Qualifications:· 

-Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, public relations and or marketing

-Excellent written communication skills; experienced across a wide variety of different communication channels including direct mail, digital communication (e-newsletters), social media, radio, photo, and video.

-Experience in public speaking is preferred.

Photography experience is preferred. 

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and computer-based design programs such as InDesign required. WordPress editing or design experience desired.
