PLEASE NOTE: This is a 6 month contract and needs to meet Client full-time conversion policies. Those dependent on a work permit sponsor now or anytime in the future (ie H1B, OPT, CPT, etc) do not meet Client requirements for this opening.

The Benefit Counselor (BC) is responsible for attending in-person and virtual enrollment events. Enrollment events could comprise, but are not limited to, benefit fairs, enrollment meetings, 1:1 enrollment conversations and presentations. Benefit Counselors are responsible for educating the employees of Hartford inforce customers surrounding the lines of coverage that are available. In some instances, benefit counselors may be asked to assist employees directly with enrollment.

The tasks associated with this role include:

• Hartford product training for new hire onboarding
• Hartford customer event preparation calls
• Hartford Enrollment Events
• Ad hoc ongoing training and education sessions

What Qualifications Are We Looking For?

• Experience and documented success in a group benefits enrollment environment.
• Working knowledge of the industry, Life & Disability products, and the services provided by a Life & Disability carrier.
• Resident Life/Health License
• Strong presentation skills
• Experience presenting virtually
• Ease and expertise at utilizing multiple types of technology
• Ability to travel regionally with occasional overnight travel
• Understand primary medical/disability product connectivity and associated financial/underwriting acumen.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Responsive communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ambitious to learn new tasks
• Bilingual (not mandatory)

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour
