Personnel Resources is recruiting for a direct hire position for a Structural or Mechanical Engineer or an Experienced Commercial Project Manager in Dothan, AL. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply! The owner is a Professional Engineer who is willing to mentor and help you grow your career with his company!
They offer a competitive salary package and will normally work Monday-Friday 7am-4pm. You will be traveling at least 50% of the time to various job site to oversee projects from start to finish. In this position you will work closely with the owner of the company, taking direction and providing reports and updates regularly.
Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage commercial construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and subcontractors to develop project plans and schedules.
• Review and interpret project schematics and blueprints to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
• Coordinate and supervise construction activities, including procurement of materials, equipment, and labor.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders, addressing any issues or delays that may arise.
• Conduct frequent site visits to ensure quality control and adherence to safety protocols.
• Manage project budgets, track expenses, and prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as a Commercial Project Manager, Engineer, or similar role in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Prior experience with sales/cost-estimate/project management in the structural steel or construction industries
• Ability to negotiate contracts and manage budgets effectively.
