Position: Welder 3rd Class

Shift:

*2nd shift

*Mon-Thurs. 4/10's (Fridays: There maybe mandatory overtime)

*hours: 3:30pm - 2:00 am

Pay: $ 21.50/hr

Pay includes the following: (Note*1: 2nd shift has a $.70/shift premium in addition to these rates.)

Description:

This is a full-time, production worker position. (Temp to hire)

Essentials Functions/Tasks to be prepared:

• Run overhead cranes systems to handle steel beams, plates and assemblies. Must be able to utilize chains, grab, etc to rig steel for handling.
• Read blueprint drawings to obtain necessary information to apply correct weld and thickness.
• Operate all welding machines and position welding and needle guns to perform all required welding operations, including connecting cables form power source to welder; striking arc; guiding electrode along lines to weld plate to beam; apply needle gun to clean weld and remove slag.
• Load weld wire spools as required.

Physical Requirements:

Individuals must have adequate strength, mobility, dexterity, vision, hearing, ability to wear a respirator, and stamina to perform the following requirements:

• Moving and handling steel requires utilizing grabs and chains (weight 10 - 50 lbs.) secure beam for lifting with overhead crane.
• Utilize welding machine continuously, loading weld equipment cutting equipment, using needle gun to clean slag.

Other Qualifications Required:

• Individual must pass requisite company weld tests.
• Individual should preferably have a high school education, candidates with welding certification will be given preference, individual should be able to follow instructions well and work without constant supervision.

Must pass a drug screen including THC
