POSITION OVERVIEW
The Health Fitness Specialist will assist with all day-to-day operations of the site and ensure the satisfaction of the client.
The Health Fitness Specialist will help plan, organize, promote, and evaluate all site programs and uphold the highest standard of safety and customer service in all areas.
To perform this job successfully, the Team Leader must perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains all required certifications throughout duration of employment.
Shows support for company values through participation in CFW Teambuilding initiatives offered : i.e.,
Quarterly Connection Calls, Team Leader Communication Calls, Corporate Fitness Perks posts, and
Common Themed Events.
Adheres to all policies and procedures outlined in the Corporate Fitness Works’ Personnel Manual.
Reviews company communications and completes action items by established due dates.
Completes and / or participates in required trainings and checklists. (Ex : Preventing Harassment and
Discrimination, Diversity, and Inclusion, Safety / OSHA, etc.) Implements and / or follows any updated
standards or requirements following training.
Adheres to site uniform policy / CFW dress code.
Understands, implements, and supports the CFW Solution as we strive to serve the unique needs of
working populations.
Understands, implements, and supports the CFW Playbook Approaches.
Demonstrates knowledge of all CFW services Fit Streaming, Personal Training and CFW Design Actively
supports and promotes CFW services when appropriate.
Creates a CFW Fit Streaming account and is familiar with all the services offered on the platform.
POSITION SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Contract / Client Care
Works with Health Fitness Program Manager and / or Senior Account Manager to ensure all contract requirements are met.
Assists Health Fitness Program Manager in compiling reports and analyzing data to ensure client
expectations are met or exceeded.
Communicates proactively, informs Health Fitness Program Manager of client requests and inquiries.
Demonstrates flexibility with changes in client needs and adapts accordingly.
Meets and supports objectives, goals and initiatives of the program as prioritized by the client.
Demonstrates the ability to utilize the CFW Playbook as a resource to create innovative solutions to meet
client needs.
Team Leadership
Upholds all aspects CFW’s Code of Ethics as outlined in the CFW Personnel Manual. This includes being honest and fair in dealings with members, clients, co-workers, and the public, and treating them with courtesy and respect.
Positively contributes to a welcoming, friendly and team environment where respect is demonstrated,
contributions are recognized, and process improvement is encouraged.
Is readily available to answer questions, assist members and support fellow Team Leaders.
Demonstrates proactive communication to keep Health Fitness Program Manager informed of important
program and client developments.
Member Care
Anticipates member needs and provides proactive service during peak and non-peak times.
Engages with members on a one-on-one basis, providing education, support and ensures their safety.
Provides individualized, safe, and effective exercise programs and comprehensive member services for
all fitness levels.
Provides prompt response to medical emergencies and completes required documentation with
proficiency.
Ensures proper and accurate membership processing procedures are followed.
Instructs safe and effective group exercise classes; ensures class quantity and quality is met based on
contract requirements.
Utilizes the elements of the CFW Solution to ensure every member feels welcomed and engaged.
Safety
Properly reports all incidents in a timely manner and notifies SAM / AM if EMS is activated.
Completes and maintains all required safety documentation including the CFW Safety Log and Succeed
with Safety.
Operations / Programming
Upholds company risk management practices by following and documenting processes and procedures as outlined in the Team Leader Guide for Site Operations.
Adheres to standards for equipment cleaning, preventive maintenance, and repair.
Assists in creation, implementation, and facilitation of programs for annual program calendar and plan.
Demonstrates ability to utilize the CFW Playbook as a resource to create innovative programming.
Professional Development
Seeks out internal / external resources and explores opportunities for professional growth.
Utilizes supervisor and Training Manager for guidance and support related to professional growth.
Demonstrates commitment to professional growth through industry and company involvement and goal
setting / achievement.
Attends required Corporate Fitness Works’ learning and development offerings and capitalizes on
additional internal learning opportunities that complement your current role, identified growth areas,
and / or goals.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education : BS in Exercise Science or related field or equivalent experience.
Experience : 1-2 years of professional fitness experience; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Certifications : American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR / AED and First Aid certification required. Professional fitness certification from list of approved providers required within the first year of employment.
Physical Requirements : Ability to move a minimum of 25 pounds.
