Job Title: Bi-lingual Self Pay Collector 

Reports to: Collections Manager

FSLA Status: Full Time, Non-exempt

Salary: $18 per hour

 Duties and responsibilities

• Contact patients who are delinquent in the repayment of medical bills and obtain payments, establish a repayment plan, or verify insurance eligibility and forward for handling 
• Maintain and update patient account information accurately 
• Maintain production necessary to meet monthly collection goal

 Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent 
• Bilingual in Spanish required
• 2 years’ experience in medical collections preferred
• Excellent oral and written communications 
• Knowledge of the CUBS collection system a plus but not required

Physical Requirements

Physical ability to sit, talk, hear for extended periods throughout the workday; stand, walk, push/pull, bend, stoop, kneel and reach on a regular to seldom basis. Repetitive hand motions on a frequent basis including fingering, grasping, and handling. Ability to read handwritten and typed documents on paper and/or on computer screens.
