The Cleaner position is responsible for routine cleaning and disinfection of assigned areas to maintain a healthy and safe college environment. Responsibilities include working independently and as part of a team to clean, sanitize and maintain classrooms, offices, public areas, restrooms, and residential facilities. Duties include floor maintenance, trash removal, replenishing supplies, snow removal, window washing, event setups, etc. Team work, good communication skills and self-motivation are good qualities to assist with your success in this position.Salary is determined based upon experience and education as well as internal equity SUNY CCC embraces diversity and values an inclusive culture where every person is able to succeed to their full potential. Sweeps and mops rooms and hallwaysDusts furniture and woodwork, vacuums carpets, and cleans and waxes floorsCollects and disposes of trash and garbageCleans and sanitizes rest rooms and replenishes supplies of soap, towels, etc.Replaces light bulbs, checks for conditions needing repair, and reports same to supervisorCleans walks of snow, rakes leavesWashes windows, walls, drapes and curtains, and may clean venetian blindsPerforms related tasks as requested
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
While no minimum qualifications are required the candidate preferably would have prior cleaning experience and knowledge of cleaning methods, procedures and equipment relevant to cleaning buildings.
