Cornhusker800 has been manufacturing Commodity Hopper Trailers since 1968 at our original location. We are looking for committed TEAM members that enjoy working with their hands to help meet our production goal. A qualified TEAM member must pay attention to detail, retain procedures, and be here ready to work daily to learn the skills needed to succeed at the job.
Hours of operation are Monday - Thursday 7a-5p and 7a-12p on Friday. Guaranteed overtime each week and OFF AT NOON on Friday's, WIN = WIN!!!
Starting pay is $17 per hour and can be more based on your experience. Performing the job duties consistently and being productive allows you the ability to earn more money for yourself. Additional compensation is based on your job performance and reliability to be here on a daily basis.
Cornhusker800 offers weekly pay checks, full-time health benefits (95% paid for), 401K/profit sharing, holiday pay, vacation, and many other employee perks. A review and pay increase after a 90 days is generally standard. Your pay is then reviewed by management every 6 months to 1 year after the first 90 day increase.
The job duties for the positions we are hiring for involve assembling components to build our hopper trailers. This is done with measurements / proper fit up, drilling holes through aluminum, and using the correct fasteners when the components are in place.
A person can think of it as more of a construction job as you don't do the same couple tasks repetitively. Training will be provided and all tools/PPE to successfully complete the tasks will be supplied. This position allows you to work independently as well with other team members.
Qualified applicants must have the skills be able to read a tape measure down to the 1/16" in a timely manner, understand the basics of using hand tools, have attention to detail, be able to retain procedures, execute work orders from paperwork, lift up to 50 Lb. without accommodation, and be able to take direction while working as a TEAM.
