We are looking for a professional with medical billing experience to fulfil the role of a Medical Billing Specialist. Your objective will be collecting and reviewing clinical documentation to submit claims to insurance companies.

The position is responsible for coding and submitting claims for medical services.

As the Medical Billing Specialist, you will also be part of enhancing the patient experience and providing support to ensure they have an amazing experience that leaves your company as the standard for patient needs, building relationships that will support fulfilling patient needs and maximizing your potential with future patient experience while maintaining a positive and rich office culture.

Responsibilities:

· Read & interpret invoice details

· Patient registration in IDX

· Rejection posting in IDX Knowledge of medical records systems.

· Ability to navigate Insurance payer websites

· Read & interpret EOBs from various insurance carriers

· FSC knowledge

· Rules of FSC Flipping

· Rules of Charge Corrections.

· Understanding and resolution of claim edits.

Requirements:

· 3 years experience working in healthcare Rev Cycle or a Professional Medical Office.

· AA/AS degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred/desired.

· High school education or GED.

· 5 years’ experience working in healthcare Rev Cycle or a Professional Medical Office preferred/desired.

· 1-year experience with IDX Practice management system and Cerner EHR.

· Understanding of professional claims and billing procedures

· Knowledge of Federal and State regulations applicable to Government and Insurance Collections.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Working knowledge of computers and demonstrated proficiency in using e-mail systems, Internet, and office/google software applications.
