We are looking for a Maintenance Technician for a facility services company that maintains government facilities nationwide. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for various duties that include electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Replaces electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors.
• Completes miscellaneous plumbing repairs.
• Uses plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.
• Repairs or replaces sinks, water coolers, and toilets.
• Paints structures and equipment.
• Repairs or replaces concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks.
• Replaces damaged paneling and floor tiles.
• Performs general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• Communicates with customers regarding work request status and coordination.
• Completes written Work Request notes reflecting details accomplished.
• Ability to respond to emergency calls as needed, to include nights and weekends.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in facilities.
• GED or High School Graduate.
• Experience working in an outdoor or indoor building environment.
• General knowledge of plumbing fixtures and ability to comprehend blueprints and drawings.
• Able to understand verbal or written direction from lead, supervisor or other craftsmen.
