CORNERSTONE PROGRAMS is Hiring a Youth Advocate - Part Time Near Philadelphia, PA

Provide oversight and guidance to at-risk juvenile clients in a community-based program through direct daily contact with the client and family contact multiple times per week in various localities throughout Philadelphia.

Required, current and valid driver's license in good standing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides transportation to group and community service activities using company vehicle.
  • Makes the required number of contacts with assigned clients via phone and/or face-to-face visits.
  • Documents all contacts and submits on a timely basis.
  • Communicates and provides program approved education and community resources.
  • Monitors and reports program compliance.
  • Performs all aspects of client file management, including the timely documentation of intake, service delivery and discharge of assigned clients.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintains communication and working relationship with probation officers and the court when required.
  • Follows all required safety protocols while on the job.
  • Perform other duties similar to the above as the need may arise.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

1. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

2. Must possess excellent time management skills, problem solving and decision-making skills.

3. Exceptional organization skills, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

4. Ability to handle multiple assignments.

5. Must quickly adapt to frequently changing duties.

6. Familiarity with computers with a working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications along with experience with WebEx, Teams or other virtual platforms.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of one year experience working with teens. Current Pennsylvania driver’s license and acceptable driving record is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Safely transport passengers from one location to another.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 20 per week

  • 8 hour shift
