Overview

The Shuttle Cart Driver provides safe, efficient, and friendly inter-campus transportation service to passengers, utilizing the Wellstar Cobb Hospital shuttle cart system. Valid Driver’s License required. 

Shift

• Monday - Friday, 2 PM - 10:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Drive passengers to and from designated locations on campus in a safe and timely manner.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service to passengers.
• Ensure shuttle cart vehicle is clean and free of debris at all times.
• Log accurate passenger counts each hour and report data as needed.
• Report any shuttle cart maintenance issues to supervisor immediately.
• Obey all traffic laws at all times.
• Greet and assist arriving/exiting Patients and Visitors.
• Retrieve wheelchairs if needed.
• Address customer questions, problems, and complaints in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Give directions to guests as needed as well as information about other parking areas.
• Provide parking enforcement of parking garages and patient areas.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license, responsible driving record.
• Previous driver experience.
• Desire to help others – have a passion for customer service.
• Minimum of one year customer service experience, preferred. 
• High standard of integrity.
• Possess a positive attitude, professional and courteous demeanor.
• Able to read, write, comprehend and converse in the English language.
• Physical demands: Ability to work indoors/outdoors in variety of weather conditions: heat, cold, rain, etc. 
• Ability to stand for long periods of time. A combination of standing and walking.
• Able to sit for extended periods of time.
