Our ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently in our fast-paced team-oriented environment where our patients come first.

Referral Coordinators are responsible for facilitating the clinical and administrative workflow process of sending patients to other medical facilities, ensuring that services are medically necessary and are being referred to in-network entities, ensuring that appropriate clinical records and authorization requirements are sent to the patient's insurance carrier and the referred to facility, and serving as a liaison between the patient, our care coordinators, our providers, the insurance company, and other medical facilities. Referral coordinators also work closely with other teams in our offices and perform other duties as assigned. Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and utilization management protocols is a requirement.

The successful candidate will have prior experience with processing referrals and prior authorizations in a primary care office. We use a fully electronic medical record system, so a computer savvy individual that is capable of multitasking and handling a variety of applications is critical. Prior experience with an electronic medical record is required, especially direct experience with the Veradigm (formerly Allscripts) PM and EHR products. Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required. Teamwork and interpersonal skills are very important, and all candidates must complete a thorough interview process, background investigation, as well as a screening for illegal drugs.
