Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool-aged children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and structured activities
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Monitor and assess each child's development and provide individualized support as needed
- Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
Skills:
- Childcare: Experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting
- Classroom management: Ability to create a structured and engaging learning environment
- Special education: Knowledge of strategies to support children with special needs or learning differences
- First aid: Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred
- Infant care: Experience caring for infants and knowledge of their unique developmental needs
- Behavior management: Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviors and promote positive behavior choices
- Educate: Passion for teaching and inspiring young minds
- Babysitting: Previous experience in babysitting or childcare roles is a plus
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a preschool or early childhood setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
