JOB PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES
- Performing thorough preventative maintenance checks (PMs) and condition reports on client’s equipment on site.
- Recommending needing repairs to the customer/client and securing additional billable work while on-site performing PMs.
- Ascertaining service problems and services by listening to customer’s description of symptoms, clarifying description of problems, conducting inspections, taking test drives, checking vehicle maintenance records, and examining service schedules.
- Performing proficient repairs on equipment (mainly forklifts, scissor lifts, tractors, and mowers) on-site at the customer facility.
- Running breakdowns for customers (includes providing diagnostics and making applicable repairs).
- Providing technical and diagnostic guidance and assistance to field service technicians by utilizing technical knowledge, experience, industry experts, and manufacturer-provided technical publications and personnel in an effort to repair customer equipment in a timely manner.
- Working with team members and customers in the resolution of disputes and opportunities.
- Acting as point of contact for customers and ensuring all billable hours are accounted for.
- Enhancing organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Promoting long-term customer satisfaction.
- Professional development through attendance at seminars, training courses, etc.
- Involvement in open houses, info-seminars, trade shows and other customer related programs.
- Work closely with other departments within the organization to resolve customer problems.
All technicians/mechanics will be evaluated by billable hours, repairs proficiency, customer service level and PM completion rates. Measurables are not limited to these categories. All employees are required to follow their employee handbook and subject to the consequences of not doing so. Potential employees will be required to pass a drug test before being hired and are subject to random drug testing throughout their employment.
Please Note: This position will involve on the road calls to areas such as Central and Northern KY and Southern Ohio customers, either warehouse and industrial (forklifts, scissor lifts, docks, rack, scissor lift tables, etc.) or farm, construction, and agricultural equipment

All service techs must possess the following:
- High school diploma with at least two years of additional schooling/training in field
- At least two years of experience forklift/industrial equipment service/repair or at least two years of equivalent applicable training.
- Their own tools (We will provide specialty tools, etc.)
- Good communication and written skills; must be able to communicate well with the service manager, parts manager, salespersons and customers.
- A positive attitude and good teammate.
- Desire to acquire knowledge of the field every day in order to be better every day.
- Able to work 40 hours/ week, Monday-Friday: any time from 7:00am-6:00pm
