Chairside experience (either “on-the-job” experience, or graduation from an assisting program) is not required for the position, but is preferred.

The job description includes: direct chairside assisting, computer and telephone skills, management of patient care, scheduling and sterilization duties. The sterilization duties include management of the office sterilization and disinfection plan, which includes maintenance of the equipment, (ultrasonic, vacuum, Statim and autoclave, etc.). Also, expanded duties that would involve taking impressions, fabricating bleaching trays, fabricating acrylic temporaries, placing sealants and taking digital radiographs (both intraoral and panoramic).

The typical work week would be:

Monday: 8-5

Tuesday: 8-5

Wednesday: 8-5

Thursday: 8-5

Friday: 8-5 (Approx 2 Fridays per month)

Starting pay will range from $15-18 per hour, depending on experience and resume.
