Immediate Career Opening for Middle School Science Teacher

Cornerstone Day School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle School Science Teacher to join our team. As a Middle School Science Teacher, you will be responsible for educating students on various aspects of science topics utilizing techniques and methodologies appropriate to students abilities. Your role will involve creating engaging lesson plans, delivering instruction, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment.

Cornerstone Day School is a unique therapeutic special education school for students with significant emotional challenges that integrates state of the art psychiatric treatment with outstanding academics. You will work with a highly seasoned and professional management team that provides the best possible mental health counseling and educational services.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards
• Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to students
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles
• Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects
• Provide constructive feedback to students to support their growth and development
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall learning experience
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and diversity
• Stay updated on current events and trends in Middle School Science education

• NJ Middle School with subject matter specialization: Science Grades 5-8 Standard Certificate required
• NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities or Teacher of Handicapped preferred
