Cornerstone Capital Bank is Hiring a Director Document Control Near Englewood, CO

  • Salary: $90-110k
  • Location: Onsite daily in Englewood, CO

Cornerstone Servicing is seeking an experienced Director of Document Control to join our team in Englewood, CO!!! The Director of Document Control is responsible for collateral management, MERS updates/audits and overseeing the mailroom functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manages a team of up to 4 ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements over inbound and outbound mail processing, MERS maintenance and audits, document control and collateral management.
  2. Create and maintain systems and process needed to ensure timely intake and departmental routing of mail from PO boxes, overnight packages and street delivery. Additionally, manage outgoing mail to meet operational and regulatory deadlines.
  3. Create and maintain systems and process needed to ensure collateral is managed in compliance with federal, state, agency and GSE requirements. Including tracking, vendor reconciliations, and certifications. Responsibility also includes ensuring timely lien releases and oversight of the lien release vendor.
  4. Create and maintain systems and process needed to ensure MERS is timely and accurately updates when loans are sold or servicing is transferred. This includes periodic reconciliation of loan level detail to MERS and exception management.
  5. Develop, implement, maintain processes maps and P&P’s to ensure effective execution of all responsibilities reflective of necessary changes in process and the associated supporting technology
  6. Develop, implement, and maintain First Line of Defense controls (including QC and KPI’s), periodically report on compliance with those metrics
  7. Fully assess new processes (UAT/Regression/Post implementation testing) to ensure the processes and technology are effective and appropriately optimized
  8. Perform other job-duty related issues as assigned

What you will need to be successful:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mortgage industry
  • Must have minimum of 5 years of experience in management
  • Have proficient knowledge of federal regulations, state laws, ad GSE requirements
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to exercise prudent judgment to prioritize a complex workload with time sensitive deadlines
  • Experience in workflow management and KPI reporting
  • Experience with First Line of Defense control implementation
  • Time and Organizational management a must
  • Results oriented and ability to adapt and be comfortable with change based on the business needs
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in addition to verbal/written communication
  • Ability to work through stressful situations professionally
  • Must display Personal Accountability
  • Attention to detail
  • Comfortable in actively participating in a team environment
