Host / Hostess

Cornells in Little Italy, the iconic Schenectady destination dining experience is seeking an experienced Host/Hostess & Take-Out Specialist for the following duties:

• Greet & Seat customers entering the restaurant;
• Answer Telephones
• accept & organize reservations; take to-go orders; answer simple questions;
• Keep Reservation Schedule on Resy.com
• Input Orders into POS;
• Lite Cleaning & Organizing of Hostess Stand

Weekly Schedule:

Mon & Tues = off

Wed & Thurs = 3:00pm - 7:00pm

Fri & Sat= 3:00pm - 9:00pm

Sun - 3:00pm - 7:00pm

Requirements & Skills:

• Friendly and Personable Greeting
• Seating Guests
• Resy.com reservation platform proficiency
• Taking To-Go orders
• Packing Take-out neatly & securely
• Anwsering standard questions about menu & restaurant
• Ability to balance busy restaurant with telephone calls and app orders

Compensation is $17.50 tips (service staff tips our 1% of their net sales which adds up in our busy restaurant)
