Research Assistant (RA) for the Figueroa Interdisciplinary Group (FIG) lab: Division of Nutritional Sciences
The Figueroa Interdisciplinary Group (FIG) lab at Cornell University is seeking to hire a part-time Research Assistant (RA) to work on a grant funded project focusing on online grocery shopping programming to promote nutrition security. Candidates must have previous research experience with historically marginalized communities and be committed to addressing systemic oppressive systems while striving to help achieve food and nutrition security, as well as health equity.
This is a part-time, 1-year appointment, with the possibility of renewal. This position requires active engagement with community partners in New York State; candidates should expect traveling as part of the role.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The RA will be responsible for:
Working with community partners to recruit and engage with study participants with diverse backgrounds throughout the study period (15 hours/week).
Engage in site visits throughout New York State and attend partner events.
Lead administrative tasks, including participant record keeping, scheduling for research activities, among others.
Conduct interviews in person, via phone, or online using evidence-based data collection methods.
Assist with qualitative and quantitative data management, with tasks that may include cleaning and analysis (5 hours/week).
Clean and code qualitative data in software like NVIVO.
Analyze data, using software like Excel, R, Qualtrics, and/or STATA.
Write reports based on analytic output, as well as provide written and/or oral updates to the study team on a monthly basis.
